I don't mind the slow down of winter , for a while.. but after the holidays.. I am ready to be done with it. As far as chipping the ice.. well, we have to do tank heaters. Dragging in fire wood by the arm loads, carrying buckets of water, chipping at the iced over water tank, counting the hay bales in hopes they will make to spring. But what I miss most is the sun on my face, and the daylight hours. Being "cabin bound" is almost a misery! My husband likes being snowed in...he just grabs a book and he's content, while I'm on my last nerve wanting OUT.
